Turns out there's a new Macedonian consulate here in Pristina where I can get a visa within 2 hours. Who ever heard of such fast service from a bunch of diplomats?!?
Anyway, I'll do that tomorrow at 10am and be ready to travel out by the afternoon. Perfect (I hope).

As you seem to be challenged by finding really good things to eat (or should I say really good toilets?), I won't give you the menu for Thanksgiving Dinner! Matt,Jeff, Laura and your Mom will be here...it's about time I gave your Mom a break for doing all the entertaing!
